Finishes

When deciding what color to choose for you new Window Valance / Cornice, its important to make the window treatment or wood product compliment other existing wood finishes already in you home. Doors, Cabinets, Large furniture pieces are good objects to color coordinate with. This will result in a look that professional interior designers would suggest as well for a fee.
Colors...
We do offer a variety of stain finishes for our Custom Wood Window Valances / Cornices and Wood Products. Presently we use Min Wax Stains exclusively. Please see the stain chart to determine what color would best wok for your room setting.
Please note...
We cannot guarantee color matching. Because results will vary with the wood types, lumber selection and stain dye lots. But we will do our best to maintain color consistency. In some situations, we also offer “Custom Color Matching“. Additional Color Matching Fees will vary.
If you are still uncertain, you can visit your local “Home Depot” or “Lowes” Home Improvement stores to see the actual “Min Wax” stain sample boards.
We truly want your new Wood Window Cornices / Window Valances or other wood products to arrive the color you choose.

Insert Materials
Our Custom Wood Window Valances / Cornices are often accented using insert panels.
Fabric – This is a great way to color coordinate the Window Treatment with your existing room décor. We will ask that you provide us with the fabric and we will install it to complete a custom look. We will determine the yardage required for you.
Stainless - Stainless insert panels are normally used for modern or contemporary cornices and can be finished in a variety of ways.
Copper – We have installed hundreds of copper inserted Cornices here in the “Copper” State. We polish them and then use an acid wash and heat to achieve an artistic finish. No two panels are ever the same. They are very impressive and change as different light patterns hit them.
Brass – A very classy and impressive look. We often brush and acid etch our brass panels by hand. We can provide digital photos via E-Mail of sample panels before we complete your order if required. Most of our clients allow us discretion since this stage of design is very artsy. Please understand, no two panels are exactly alike even when we finish them together.
Customer Supplied Insert Material – If you have an idea for something to insert and compliment your room, just let us know.
